📣 Physical and Social Activity Sessions for Dementia and Complex Health Issues 📣
🗣Halo Leisure Centre in Herefordshire is running a weekly two-hour physical and social activity session for people living with dementia and other complex health issues.
👫Feel Good for Life is a programme that supports people and their carers affected by dementia, loneliness and depression, encouraging to be physically active and aiming to reduce feelings of social isolation.
ℹOver the year the programme has seen significant benefits for participants, including increases physical activity levels, mental and emotional resilience and connections to their local community.
These sessions include low-impact exercise and the opportunity to socialise and participate in different activities.
The sessions run at two locations in Hereford and Leominster:
🔹Hereford Leisure Centre- Thursdays 11:00 am to 1:15 pm on a weekly basis
🔹Leominster Leisure Centre- Tuesday 11:15 am to 1:15 pm on the first three Tuesdays of the month not on the fourth Tuesday of the month. This session includes the use of the swimming pool and incorporating low-impact exercise. 🏊
