Getting the most out of your patient access

Patient Access gives you remote access to your GP, pharmacy and health records.

The first step in being able to order prescriptions, book appointments and much more, is to register for online services with Patient Access. Patient Access is a partner of the NHS and connects directly to your medical record through our clinical system provider, EMIS. To register, you will need to visit the surgery with a form of photographic identification, such as your passport or driving license and a proof of address, such as a utility bill. You will then be given information on how to set up your Patient Access account on a home computer or a mobile device. Due to current restrictions, we are able to register you for online services without seeing you in person. Please contact reception for further details.

If you receive regular repeat prescriptions from the Surgery, you will be able to order these items when you need them via the Patient Access system.

Patient Access connects to our clinical system EMIS, which means you are able to view your health summary information, such as any allergies or immunisations you have had. To gain access to your medical record, even if you have a Patient Access log in, you will need to fill out a request form and provide the Surgery with necessary personal identification.
