Did you know we can help to provide aspects of a memory assessment here at the Surgery. Our memory is not always as sharp as it used to be as we age, sometimes a loved one notices before we do. Lets see what we can do to help!
This includes blood tests to check for anything that might be causing it, a CT scan of the head to check for reversible causes and then a chat with the memory team (usually in your own home) to see if there is anything that can be done to improve things.
There are a number of medications available now including those such as Memantine, designed to preserve and improve your memory which are accessible through this scheme.
